Hi! My name is Ani Shupe, Realtor with the Wendy Lynn Group and Fine Properties of Sarasota.
I am from a small college town in central Utah, where I grew up with my mom and four older brothers. My mom had gotten tired of the cold and snowy winters so she and I moved to southern Arizona when I was ten years old. This is where I would eventually meet my husband. We moved around quite a few times through Arizona with his highway patrol job transfers. With all the moving I was able to stay on with the same grocery store chain Bashas’ for almost ten years. This is where I developed a love for helping others and getting to know the regulars. I learned how to provide great customer service, how to go above and beyond and how to listen to others and have a good positive attitude. Bashas’ was a great place to work for these are the years I had started raising my four children. I took a few years away from work, but then an opportunity to work for FedEx Express came along and I took it. I was used to being busy with four children, so the active job was what I was seeking. Working at FedEx continued to teach me how to provide great service to my customers, the importance of teamwork and getting things done.
Arizona never truly felt like home, it is where family was, but our hearts kept taking us to Florida for it was the only two vacations we ever took. My heart was always seeking green, trees, water and beaches, Florida just kept calling us back. My husband and I finally took the leap back in February 2014, Arizona just was not for us anymore. My children were still young enough and it was a perfect time to move before any of them started high school. Also, my youngest had been struggling with bad asthma since birth from the wind and dust of Arizona and it was not getting better. We did some research and found the Florida coastline was better for asthma, so everything seemed to be drawing us back to Florida.
After we moved to Bradenton, I went on to work as a server. I knew it would be a great fit for me at the time until I found something to settle into. I loved helping others and the hustle, plus it would be an easy way to meet new people. With being new to the area it did not take me long to fall in love with exploring, I found myself always searching homes and comparing prices. My husband went on to work in the new construction business and this helped me become quite knowledgeable about the building process and good quality work. I decided with my passion for the area, homes, and working well with others I should pursue and settle into real estate. I believe with all life experiences it has truly led me to where I am today.
