For a little over two decades, the Serenoa Golf Club has been one of the premier residential golf communities in Sarasota. Southwest Florida may have a lot to offer in terms of residential developments with small villas and condominiums, but Serenoa is one of the few communities that guarantee its residents generous acreage in terms of housing. Life at Serenoa is nothing short of grand.
The expansive single family residences and exclusive villas at Serenoa were designed and custom built by prestigious home builders Peregrine and Arthur Rutenberg. Most homes have their own swimming pool, and several residences have nice extras such as Florida rooms, outdoor kitchens, and large garages. A three-bedroom home with 2.5 bathrooms is typically built on 2,462 square feet, starting at $364,900. Some homes are tucked away in wooded areas, while others have a lakefront view. A four-bedroom estate sitting on 3,682 square feet may be negotiated for $619,000. The larger single family homes will include nice touches such as wood burning fireplaces, wet bars, built-in media centers, private lanais, and more.
The championship golf course at Serenoa is managed by none other than Arnold Palmer Management. It is one of the most popular courses in the area, and it is rated as one of the best in Florida. The club is semi-private and the fees are reasonable. The elegant clubhouse doubles as the community center, which can be reserved for special events.
The Serenoa Golf Club may be surrounded by wetlands and marshlands, but it’s not isolated by any means. The community is located right off I-75 and very close to shopping and business centers. The public schools serving Serenoa are right in the neighborhood: Lakeview Elementary, Sarasota Middle and Riverview High.
