With mortgage interest rates at historically low levels, it makes perfect sense to look for new construction deals in 2020, particularly in emerging locations such as Parrish. Over the last few years, this charming Old Florida town has gone through a residential development renaissance, and smart home buyers have been acquiring properties in neighborhoods such as Brightwood at North River Ranch.
Located in the eastern section of Manatee County, North River Ranch is a master-planned development where you will find prominent home builders such as Centex working to make this one of the most interesting places to live in Southwest Florida. North River Ranch is located to the west of Highway 301 between Buckeye Road and Erie Road; this large development spans more than 2,600 acres of land, and it consists of villages similar to the arrangement of Lakewood Ranch. Brightwood is one of the first villages to open here; it is being developed by Centex, and it offers new single-family homes for less than $250K.
The models selected by Centex for Brightwood are built in a style that upgrades traditional Florida ranches. The homes are partly inspired by the kind of residential architecture that was common in Parrish in the time when it was an important railway town. The open floor plans start with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms occupying 1,433 square feet of interior. Home buyers who need more space for larger families can take advantage of floor plans such as the Thompson and Wakefield, which offer between four and five bedrooms built on at least 2,386 square feet.
Completed models at Brightwood sell very quickly, but you can always work with the builder to secure a new construction property at even more reasonable prices; in this fashion, you can also customize certain aspects of the floor plan such as the exterior, flooring, and painting. These properties score a minimum of 64 on the Home Energy Rating Scale. The community has a nice clubhouse plus a resort-style swimming pool for the enjoyment of residents and guests. In the near future, residents will be able to shop and dine without leaving North River Ranch thanks to the mixed zoning development plan. For the time being, the Gateway Commons shopping center is about five minutes away.
Whether you need to commute to Tampa, St. Petersburg, or Sarasota, you will find Brightwood very convenient because your driving time will be about 30 minutes, which is about the same as driving to Holmes Beach and Anna Maria Island.
