Similar to Parrish and Ellenton, Palmetto has been going through a period of residential transformation in recent years. Thanks to smart zoning arrangements, Palmetto is unlikely to suffer from sprawl, overcrowding, or gridlock in the future, and this can be appreciated in communities such as Cypress Pond Estates, a charming collection of single-family residences located about three miles northwest of the Ellenton Premium Outlets.
At Cypress Pond Estates, neighbors enjoy living in a community where various acres have been set aside for nature preservation purposes. Despite being less than a 15-minute drive away from Downtown Bradenton, the Cypress Pond evokes a countryside ambiance thanks to the arrangement of homes around a few lakes and ponds. There are less than 80 homes in this community, and they all have been completed within the last eight years by local home builder Geartz Homes.
The three-bedroom and four-bedroom models at Cypress Pond estates range between 1,120 and 1,535 square feet of living space; their style combines Florida ranch design with some Mediterranean details. Neighborhood amenities include a swimming pool with a clubhouse and some green spaces, but more attractions can be found just a few minutes south at Sugar Mill Lake Park and the Felts Audubon Preserve, which is very popular among bird watchers in Manatee County.
The best part about Cypress Pond Estates is that they are very reasonably priced for first-time buyers. As we head into 2019, a two-bedroom house with two full bathrooms was listed for just $186,500. Finding a four-bedroom property for less than $250K is not unusual in this neighborhood, but prospective buyers should know that these listings do not last long. As previously mentioned, this part of town is developing quickly, and many buyers who work or study in the Tampa Bay region are attracted by the reasonably priced listings.
With regard to convenient shopping spots, the Publix supermarket at Palmetto is only 10 minutes away, and the Ellenton Premium Outlets are even closer. You can get to Downtown Bradenton in 15 minutes, and heading west on Manatee Avenue will put you in Holmes Beach very quickly.
