When urban developers decided that the time had come to transform Downtown Sarasota into a premier residential neighborhood, a firm agreement was made to pay special attention to the Golden Gate district, a small peninsula that looks out into the Sarasota Bay, the Sarasota Keys and the city skyline.
La Bellasara was one of the first luxury condominiums completed during the ongoing renovation of Downtown Sarasota. To a great extent, the architectural style of La Bellasara has come to define the new urban residential look, which would not look out of place in the French Riviera. This imposing condominium features four towers, nine levels and 29 opulent residences located at the southern tip of Golden Gate Point, which means that residents enjoy views of downtown, the Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
Upon completion in 2006, units at La Bellasara quickly sold out. Since then, only a few have come on the market, and their values have appreciated faster than any other property in Southwest Florida. As of 2017, only one unit was available in this condominium: a sixth-floor penthouse with three bedrooms, four bathrooms, private elevator entry, elaborate foyer, hardwood floors, gourmet kitchen, sauna, and multiple views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Sarasota skyline. This unit can be negotiation under three million dollars, and it will probably be worth substantially more by 2020.
Life at La Bellasara is extremely luxurious. Residents and their guests are protected by 24-hour security, friendly concierge service is available at any time, and the fitness amenities include a heated swimming pool as well as a modern exercise center. All homeowners get double parking spaces and extra storage, and they can also access a private lounge, billiards and multimedia room.
La Bellasara is within walking distance of Five Points and its upscale shopping center anchored by Whole Foods. Residents can also walk to opera houses, museums, concert halls, marinas, international restaurants, art galleries, and trendy boutiques. Driving to the beach, which can be seen from many balconies, takes about five minutes.
