The area surrounding Windward is well-developed. You will only have to drive a few minutes to shop at the Publix supermarket in the Sarasota Crossings commercial district. The Mall at University Town Center is about 15 minutes to the west, and you can choose between the beaches of Siesta Key and Longboat Key when planning weekend trips.
