In early 2018, a few national home builders secured more than 400 acres of land from the master developer of Lakewood Ranch, and two of the builders have already broke ground and started construction of a new village. Woodleaf Hammock is the latest addition to the expansive Lakewood Ranch master-planned development of Manatee County, and it is expected to offer both single-family residences and spacious townhouses.
Prospective home buyers interested in new construction opportunities should place Woodleaf Hammock at the very top of their lists. The developers of this neighborhood, Meritage and M/I Homes, not only have an excellent track record but are also known for stylish designs as well as quality construction. M/I Homes plans to build 91 single-family residences ranging between 2,309 and 3,759 square feet of living space. Meritage Homes will develop the townhouse sections of Woodleaf Hammock, which is expected to offer 162 units ranging between 1,756 and 2,378 square feet of interior once completed.
As of March 2019, pricing for a new four-bedroom residence with three full bathrooms and a three-car garage was under $450K, this is for the Crystal floor plan built by M/I Homes, which includes extras such as quartz counter tops, floor-to-ceiling tiles in the master bathroom, premium appliances, and a designer kitchen. Prices for the Meritage townhouses were still forthcoming in March 2019, but they are expected to be very competitive, particularly when taking into consideration that this is a builder that sets the standard in terms of energy efficient construction in Florida.
Like in other premium villages in Lakewood Ranch, residents Woodleaf Hammock will enjoy their own community swimming pool, clubhouse, playground, racquet courts, a pavilion, and nature preserve areas. The neighborhood will connect to the main Lakewood Ranch parks by means of trails. This community is conveniently located near Bob Gardner Community Park and the Lakewood Ranch Gateway shopping center, which is anchored by a large Publix supermarket. Driving to Holmes Beach takes about 30 minutes going west on State Road 64.
